My pointless yet still somehow amusing weekend.
I have to say I have had a rather eventful weekend, it started off with a few close family friends staying in a wonderful yet slightly sterile and box-like house in the north cost of Cornwall. I arrived home from school, packed and set off for polzeth to meet jc and his family. we watched a bit of entertainment from the swanky flat screened audio visual box in the lounge. then went to bed, i was awoken by dad offering too cook me a mushroom he had found in the garden with garlic and toast. It tasted very chemically so i gave it a pass.
Jc the dog and i then went for a short walk along the cliffs with the fishing rods. Caught nothing, so decided to go for a swim in the freezing water i think we lasted about two minuites then ran back inside cowering and jumped into the pathetic 'waterfall' shower the owners of this house thought necessary.
Later on in the day at low tide we set off on the daunting task of diging up some revolting lug worm for the evenings fish. This is a task i would rather not repeat. At about nine o'clock all baited up we went fishing it was dark, cold, went and subsiquently unsucsessful.
Jc had a rugby game in the morning so we had to go to bed early. Went fishing again on sunday moring witch also bore no goodies. Went home for my grans sunday roast and then i went for a shoot on my own in the feilds which regrettably surprise surprise also failed to meet expectations... but by by Christ i swear to mr god that if i don't catch shoot or even withness my father run over some form of edible living being for me then to consume in a orderly fasion soon i will not be pleased.

My attemps so far
Over the past few days i have been returning from school at about 6 o'clock and frantically rushing to beat sun set and bag my self a rabbit. I have a crappy little £80 .22 springer that my dad bought me when i was eight from trago mills (i currently have my eye on a bsa scorpion T10 for Christmas). I swapped a broken battery powered bb gun that i found in a car boot a few years ago for a old nikko sterling scope with wonderful recticule. I have spend houres shooting cans and home made targets on a feble attempt to zero the bugger (it can hit a can from about 50 yards) so i left it at that.
The kind farmer Mark who lives behind me has kindly given me permission to shoot in the many fields that are scattered around the hilly landscape surrounding my tiny Hamlet. I have Found Plenty of brilliant spots in these fields of where i have a spectacular view of rabbit runs and trees full of pigeons. I have tried many times but failed. Although i have vowed to myself to grab something buy next weekend. And when i do i shall turn the forenamed creature into a spectacular feast that will rival the shouty man on telly box!!

What does one expect to happen now then.
Ladies and gentlemen of the modern internet world hello! I am writing a blog about the kind of things my acquaintances and I get up to in our weird and wonderful world here in the deepest darkest depths of south east Cornwall. Things like shooting, bushcraft, fishing, cooking and generaly things like that I suppose although I will mix in a bit of music, photography and festival going as well.
